Civil Engineer (PE) - Municipal & Land Development

Location: Fargo, ND, USA; onsite position

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus overtime compensation at the base hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and management of municipal infrastructure and land development projects.
• Work on urban and rural roadways, water systems, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and site development projects.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, engineering plans, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, community leaders, and municipal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Represent the firm at municipal meetings and contribute to marketing and new business development.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain a collaborative, high-performance work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer certification in North Dakota and Minnesota, or ability to obtain it within six months.
• At least five years of relevant municipal engineering or land development experience.
• Project management experience and knowledge of municipal processes and infrastructure needs.
• Strong communication, presentation, client-relations, and business development skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of Fargo-Moorhead-area municipalities and regulatory agencies.
