What you will do

• Develop RF propagation models and coverage plans for open-pit mines using tools like HTZ, Atoll, Mentum.
• Perform root cause analysis for LTE outages, frequency optimisation, interference analysis, and capacity planning for AHS, telemetry, CCTV, IoT.
• Analyse drive-test data with TEMS Pocket/Discovery, profile KPIs like throughput, accessibility, mobility.
• Optimise LTE hardware, Cambium PTP/PTMP backhaul links, provide remote guidance to field teams.
• Update RF designs for mine topology changes, produce documentation, heatmaps, BOMs, support testing.
• Collaborate with mining tech teams to ensure reliable connectivity for trucks, drills, shovels, IoT devices.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years LTE RAN planning, RF engineering, optimisation experience.
• Experience with private LTE/5G SA in industrial deployments, RF tools (Atoll, HTZ, Planet, Mentum, iBwave).
• Hands-on with TEMS Investigation/Discovery, Cambium Networks (PTP 670/700, PMP 450i/m, cnMaestro).
• Strong LTE RAN knowledge (EPC/E-UTRAN, PCI, SINR/RSRP, VoLTE, CA), GIS (Global Mapper, ArcGIS).
• Networking (VLANs, routing, QoS), analytical skills for logs, KPIs, Layer-3 messages.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related; ability to work remotely with field teams.

Nice to have

• LTE/RAN certification (Nokia, Ericsson, Cisco), Cambium certification.
• Scripting/automation (Python, SQL), ticketing tools (ServiceNow), ITIL processes.
• Experience supporting remote sites (mining/oil & gas), mining tech knowledge (AHS, fleet management).
