What you will do

• Perform physical and chemical tests according to methods, procedures, and instructions, evaluating results accurately.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, conduct preventative maintenance, and manage calibration/validation records.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, keep work area clean and organized.
• Cross-train in all physical testing lab aspects to cover other specialists.
• Troubleshoot issues, support long-term testing, method validations (gage R&R), and improvement programs.
• Communicate project information and assist with laboratory accreditation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (preferred science) with 0-3 years experience or 8-16 chemistry credits; no Masters/PhD
• Experience in wet chemistry (titration, specific gravity, pH, conductivity, salinity), manufacturing lab exposure
• Awareness of analytical instrumentation (spectroscopy), quality standards (ISO17025/ISO14001), industry standards (ASTM/ISO/MIL)
• Knowledge of acids/bases, oils/distillates, solubility; product applications (coolants, cleaners, phosphates)
• Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), verbal/written communication
• Self-motivated, multitasker, analytical thinker, safety procedures and PPE knowledge

• Ability to work independently, good time management
