TL;DR

Associate, Industry Coverage (Clean Energy Finance): Support senior colleagues in client coverage for developers, IPPs, utilities, and manufacturers on capital structure across debt, tax equity, tax credits, and financial products with an accent on relationship-building, market intelligence, and transaction execution. Focus on preparing client materials, financial modeling, diligence coordination, and gathering feedback to improve offerings.

Remote from anywhere in the US and Canada, optional offices in DC and NYC (Q1’26), optional co-working in Bay Area, Seattle, Denver, Boston, LA; up to 25% travel.

Total cash compensation: $150,000s-$200,000s (depending on experience & revenue scope), plus stock options.

What you will do

• Support client coverage, relationship-building with working-level contacts, and execution on mandates.
• Apply market intelligence and product knowledge to advise on clean energy capital opportunities.
• Execute across debt, tax credits, tax equity, M&A advisory, including onboarding and platform engagement.
• Prepare client materials like pitch decks, financial models, teasers, CIMs, and process trackers.
• Coordinate diligence, outreach, and internal teams; gather customer feedback for product improvements.
• Contribute to market intelligence, webinars, events; nurture buyers, generate leads.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years in power/utilities, renewables, clean energy finance, infrastructure IB, project finance, or advisory.
• Exposure to debt, equity, M&A, tax equity/credits; strong financial modeling (project cash flows, valuation).
• Experience with client/investor materials (pitch books, CIMs, teasers, buyer lists).
• Strong organizational skills, communication, client-service mindset.
• FINRA SIE, Series 79, 63 or willingness to obtain under sponsorship.
• Excitement for clean energy and tech-enabled finance; willingness to travel up to 25%.
