TL;DR

Location: Decatur, IL (62521), onsite

Salary: $114,400–$124,800

What you will do

  • Direct full-cycle payroll for North America, handling hourly and salaried employees.
  • Ensure SOX compliance, internal controls, and all tax filings including W-2 and T4.
  • Oversee payroll accounting, G/L reconciliations, and month-end closings with Finance.
  • Collaborate with Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and Legal on data reconciliation and reporting.
  • Mentor and develop a multi-level payroll team.
  • Lead payroll system testing, implementations, vendor management, and data integrity audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field
  • 5+ years managing in-house payroll for large-scale organization
  • Proven leadership of direct and indirect teams in fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of US and Canadian payroll laws, taxes, garnishments
  • Experience with complex HRIS like SuccessFactors or Employee Central
  • Strong analytical skills for resolving payroll/tax issues
  • Exceptional communication and confidentiality standards

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing payroll/timekeeping systems
  • Payroll in manufacturing with complex hourly timekeeping
  • CPP certification
