Intern Engineering Designer (Water)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; onsite. Other location: Olympia, Washington, United States.

What you will do

• Assist with feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary detailed design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support projects involving pump stations, reservoirs, treatment facilities, water distribution and transmission systems, collection systems, and other vertical and linear infrastructure.
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling, and perform calculations and analysis.
• Assist with obtaining permits and approvals required for construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Attend site visits and inspections.

Requirements

• Currently in the third year of an undergraduate Civil Engineering program or related discipline at an accredited institution.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong commitment to integrity and ethical, fair, and responsible behavior.
• Commitment to innovation and continuous learning.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and engineering software.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
• Experience with ArcGIS.
