Civil Design Associate (Water/Wastewater)

Location: Moon Township, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at the Airside Business Park office.

Salary: $62,267–$89,898 per year.

What you will do

• Develop plans, profiles, specifications, estimates, calculations, layouts, sketches, and construction documents for water/wastewater, municipal, land development, transportation, and water resources projects.
• Prepare civil paving, sewer, grading, and stormwater drainage designs, including analysis and documentation of complex concepts.
• Use CADD, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D to produce preliminary and final engineering drawings and plan sets.
• Coordinate designs with civil engineers, surveyors, GIS specialists, estimators, project managers, designers, drafters, clients, vendors, and external engineering teams.
• Participate in design and quality reviews, CAD peer reviews, conceptual planning, and resolution of conflicting priorities.
• Determine materials and quantities, support cost estimates and schedules, guide lower-level design/drafting personnel, and ensure compliance with applicable technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of design and CADD workstation experience.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
