Civil Engineer (PE)- Municipal/Land Development

Location: Onsite in the Garden City/Boise, Idaho, USA area

Salary: $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience and licensure; overtime is paid at the base hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and management of municipal infrastructure and private land development projects.
• Develop projects involving urban and rural roadways, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer utilities, and site development.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, engineering plans, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, community leaders, and municipal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Represent the firm at municipal meetings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior staff while supporting the growth of municipal and land development services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Idaho, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• At least five years of relevant municipal or land development civil engineering experience.
• Proven project management, communication, presentation, and client-relations skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the Boise, Idaho area and local municipal processes is advantageous.
