Contracts Optimization Manager

What you will do

• Lead contracting from RFP/bid through award, execution, and closeout ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Review RFPs, bids, awards, amendments; draft, negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and statements of work.
• Analyze terms, identify risks, propose mitigations; track contracts, renewals, deliverables.
• Develop templates, playbooks, clause libraries; implement process improvements and automation.
• Leverage CLM systems and AI workflows for intake, review, drafting, and analysis.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, IT, Operations; train stakeholders and report on metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in government contracting including RFPs and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of state and local procurement regulations.
• Experience with CLM systems, workflow tools, contracting risk, and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience with legal AI tools like Harvey AI.
• Excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Master’s in government procurement.
• Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or similar.
• Experience with AI tools, automation, prompt engineering in contracting.
• Experience developing contract playbooks, SOPs, policy documentation.
