Location: Remote from approved U.S. states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, MS, MO, NC, NH, NV, NY, OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, WA, WY) or Canada; hybrid in Austin, TX (Monday, Wednesday, Friday in-office); prioritize near hubs in Austin, Atlanta, Miami, Denver.
Salary: $140,000 - $155,000 USD

What you will do
- Design and build dynamic pricing, marketplace matching, and auction systems using modern and AI-assisted practices.
- Develop full-stack applications (React, Vue) and backend services (Java) for scalable marketplace operations.
- Implement and optimize pricing logic, bidding mechanisms, and supply-demand balancing with data-driven and AI approaches.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance via robust architecture and AWS infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product, data, and business teams to refine pricing strategies and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
- 4+ years as full-stack or backend-leaning engineer in fast-paced environments
- Experience with marketplace, pricing, auction, or matching systems
- Strong backend with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin) and modern frontend (React, Vue, Angular)
- Solid distributed systems and cloud (AWS preferred), exposure to AI tools or data-driven systems
- Ownership mindset to translate marketplace dynamics into scalable solutions
