Salary: $160,980–$311,040 USD (annual)

What you will do

• Own VMaaS and CaaS platforms end-to-end, including architecture, operations, lifecycle, security, and service quality for Enterprise IT and Labs workloads.
• Ensure 24x7 availability, incident response, standardization, patching, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Lead platform modernization initiatives like VMware EOL/Hyper-V migration, provisioning tooling transitions, and Kubernetes upgrades.
• Drive AI and automation adoption for operational efficiency, proactive incident detection, and reducing manual work.
• Lead and develop a platform team with VM, Kubernetes, and automation expertise, building succession and reducing single points of failure.
• Manage stakeholders including application teams, Labs, Enterprise IT leaders, and vendors, setting SLAs and expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years people management experience leading infrastructure/platform teams of 10+ engineers.
• 3+ years hands-on with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm).
• Proven leadership of large-scale infrastructure platforms at enterprise scale under cost/ headcount pressure.
• Strong familiarity with AI-assisted IT operations and automation for efficiency.
• Excellent communication for complex technical topics in globally distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in related field.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, CKA/CKAD).
• Experience managing 15+ engineers, public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), hybrid/multi-cloud, IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible), AIOps (Datadog/Splunk), CI/CD, large-scale platforms (1000+ VMs/100+ K8s clusters).
• Enterprise monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/Splunk), security frameworks (SOX/ISO/NIST).
