Project Manager - Semiconductor Construction

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States; full-time onsite. Work takes place in field offices, cleanrooms, fabs, sub-fabs, construction zones, equipment rooms, utility spaces, warehouses, and client project locations. Extended hours or weekend support may be required.

What you will do

• Lead semiconductor construction projects from execution planning through construction, commissioning, turnover, closeout, and handover.
• Act as the primary client interface and manage communication with project managers, stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams.
• Control project scope, schedules, budgets, changes, risks, resources, procurement, logistics, reporting, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate cleanroom construction, tool installation, wet mechanical and process-utility systems, high-purity piping, DI/UPW, chemical and gas systems, and complex MEP interfaces.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, material readiness, safety, quality, permitting, contamination control, and construction sequencing.
• Support testing, commissioning, startup, punch-list completion, client acceptance, as-built documentation, and final turnover packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Five or more years of construction project-management experience, including direct semiconductor, cleanroom, tool-installation, high-tech manufacturing, or mission-critical facility experience.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, vendors, project controls, safety, quality, logistics, and material interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor construction sequencing, cleanroom requirements, high-purity systems, tool-installation interfaces, and complex MEP coordination.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Strong English communication, client-facing leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, escalation-management, and stakeholder-coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional certification, Professional Engineer license, OSHA 30 certification, or comparable credentials.
• Experience with wet mechanical systems, process utilities, high-purity piping, DI/UPW, wastewater, chemical distribution, gas systems, commissioning, startup, and semiconductor hook-up activities.
• Experience with cost forecasting, earned-value reporting, change-order management, subcontractor billing, or project financial controls.
• Familiarity with Lean construction, pull planning, look-ahead planning, or the Last Planner System.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese communication skills.
