Jira/Confluence Systems Administrator: Management, configuration, and maintenance of Jira and Confluence environments supporting engineering, operations, and program management teams with an accent on workflows, data integrity, and collaboration. Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL – 100% On-site required. Active DoD Secret clearance required.

What you will do
- Design, configure, and maintain Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, dashboards, and project management aligned with Agile methodologies.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, security settings, and system performance optimization including troubleshooting.
- Handle integrations with external plugins like GitLab and other DevOps tools.
- Administer Confluence spaces, permissions, templates, content organization, and provide user support with documentation.
- Implement system hardening per DISA STIGs, manage ACAS vulnerability scans, and ensure DoD cybersecurity compliance.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+).
- 3-5 years hands-on experience as Jira/Confluence Administrator, preferably in DoD or federal government.
- In-depth knowledge of Jira/Confluence administration including workflows, schemes, permissions.
- Experience with scripting (Groovy, Python, Bash) for automation, ACAS, STIGs application.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Nice to have
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-JA) or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with Atlassian Cloud, migrations, hybrid environments.
- DoD System Program Office (SPO) or Program Management Office (PMO) experience.
