What you will do

• Research product criteria, functions, requirements, and cost targets including manufacturability, quality, and installation.
• Collaborate with Industrial Designers to implement design vision and evaluate multiple solution alternatives.
• Investigate suppliers, materials, and processes; complete sketches, models, engineering analyses (FEA, tolerance stacks, kinematics).
• Develop prototypes, coordinate fabrication, evaluate and test against objectives.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, ECOs; support PPAP and production release.
• Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Management to refine designs for tooling, assembly, reliability, and craftsmanship.

Requirements

• Engineering/Technical degree or two-year technical degree +5 years experience.
• 2-4 years professional engineering experience or 0-3 years specialty experience + internships/projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Project management experience; knowledge of Lean principles.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• 1-4 years in new product development or continuous improvement.
