What you will do
- Define guidance system capabilities and requirements in collaboration with operations and pilot teams.
- Design guidance system features for integration with flight control systems and pilot displays.
- Implement flight guidance algorithms in simulation and flight software.
- Analyze simulation, lab, and flight test data to evaluate system performance.
- Validate guidance behavior through hardware-in-loop and flight test cases.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. person or authorized to access export-controlled technology.
- MS in aerospace engineering, robotics, or equivalent field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in guidance or motion planning for real-time vehicle systems.
- Professional proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining system behavior to end users.
- Must be willing to travel 10% of the time.
Nice to have
- PhD in aerospace, electrical engineering, or computer science.
- Expertise in probability theory or optimization.
- Experience with safety-critical software development or Flight Management System certification.
- Current pilot, instrument, or commercial rating.
