What you will do
- Lead a team of social workers delivering high-quality interventions for CIN and CP cases.
- Provide reflective supervision to develop practitioners' judgement and risk management skills.
- Maintain oversight of casework, decision-making, and performance to protect children from harm.
- Contribute to quality assurance, audits, and service development using data and feedback.
- Strengthen multi-agency partnerships to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and staff wellbeing.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or equivalent, registered with Social Work England.
- Substantial post-qualifying experience in children’s social care, including CIN and CP work.
- Experience leading, supervising, and developing social workers with high-quality reflective supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and statutory guidance.
- Skills in performance management, quality assurance, risk assessment, and multi-agency working.
- Commitment to safeguarding, child-centred practice, professional integrity, and resilience.
