Salary: £59,511–£63,966 pa (Grade 10)

What you will do

  • Lead a team of social workers delivering high-quality interventions for CIN and CP cases.
  • Provide reflective supervision to develop practitioners' judgement and risk management skills.
  • Maintain oversight of casework, decision-making, and performance to protect children from harm.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, audits, and service development using data and feedback.
  • Strengthen multi-agency partnerships to improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and staff wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or equivalent, registered with Social Work England.
  • Substantial post-qualifying experience in children’s social care, including CIN and CP work.
  • Experience leading, supervising, and developing social workers with high-quality reflective supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and statutory guidance.
  • Skills in performance management, quality assurance, risk assessment, and multi-agency working.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, child-centred practice, professional integrity, and resilience.
