Location: Onsite in St Helier, Jersey. Restricted to female applicants only (genuine occupational requirement)

What you will do

• Provide one-to-one counselling sessions in a safe, confidential manner within agreed structures
• Maintain accurate and timely client records
• Attend regular clinical supervision (group provided; source and pay for own 1:1)
• Work within ethical frameworks (BACP/NCPS or equivalent), safeguarding, and confidentiality policies
• Liaise with Lead Counsellor on clinical matters and contribute to a safe therapeutic environment

Requirements

• Undertaking recognised counselling qualification (minimum Level 4 Diploma)
• Provide ‘readiness to practice’ letter from training provider
• Student/registered membership with professional body (NCPS, BACP, UKCP or equivalent)
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Demonstrate understanding of trauma-informed practice, culturally responsive working, data protection, and confidentiality
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work client-centred, independently and in a team
• Reflective practice and understanding of clinical supervision

Nice to have

• Adult safeguarding training
• Understanding of violence against women and girls (VAWG) and domestic abuse sector
