What you will do

• Lead UX strategy across core surfaces: AI SRE, service maps, log/metric/trace explorers, dashboards, alerting, onboarding
• Champion AI-native design patterns integrating into SRE/developer workflows (IDE via MCP, CLI, chat, visualization)
• Partner with PM and engineering leadership as co-architect of product and UX strategy tied to customer outcomes
• Manage and grow a technically fluent design team, focusing on career development and AI upskilling
• Drive prototype-first, code-enabled design culture for fast validation and high-velocity shipping
• Define interaction models for observability workflows like incident investigation and root cause analysis

Requirements

• 8–10+ years designing complex, data-heavy developer or infrastructure products
• Deep familiarity with observability, monitoring, or incident management workflows
• Demonstrated ability to design AI-native surfaces: chat interfaces, agent workflows, context-aware UI
• Track record of shipping high-quality work via iterative, prototype-driven processes
• Strong systems thinking for data interaction patterns and behavioral models in multi-surface products
• Experience managing design teams in fast-moving environments
• Excellent communication to align engineers, PMs, executives, and stakeholders

Nice to have

• Background as SRE, developer, or platform engineer with incident response experience
• Experience designing MCP-integrated or CLI-adjacent developer tools
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, or observability platforms
• Experience contributing code to products
