About the Role

You will design and deliver end-to-end consumer product experiences, invent new mental models and interactions for emerging technology, create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs informed by qualitative and quantitative data, collaborate with engineering, product, and research to influence strategy and roadmap, maintain and evolve a unified design system, mentor junior designers, and contribute to the design culture through writing and presentations.

Requirements

• 5 years of product design experience including research, prototyping, and implementation of user-facing applications
• Experience in FinTech or adjacent industries through relevant design work
• Demonstrated experience working with component libraries or design systems
• Strong desire to design within the context of web3, blockchain, or decentralized finance
• Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Framer, or equivalent
• Excellent visual design and interaction design skills with a strong portfolio demonstrating independent project ownership
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with the web3/Ethereum ecosystem including wallets, tokens, and transactions (nice to have)
• High-fidelity prototyping experience (nice to have)
• Regular use of AI in design and prototyping workflows (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver end-to-end design projects for new and improved consumer products that increase clarity and user agency in decentralized finance and web3
• Tackle complex challenges by inventing new mental models and designing cutting-edge interactions with minimal oversight
• Use a human-centered approach that incorporates qualitative and quantitative data to create conceptual wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and research partners to influence product strategy and roadmap
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a unified design system to increase frontend velocity and consistency
• Mentor junior designers and define best practices through feedback, documentation, and critique
• Contribute to the broader design culture through writing, presentations, and external community engagement
