Location: Brooklyn, NY - In-Office (remote Fridays unless required on-site, plus 30 additional remote days/year)
Salary: $85,000 – $125,000 annually

What you will do
- Manage trial balances, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting for multiple development projects
- Track and record capitalized costs, monitor project budgets from predevelopment through construction and lease-up
- Partner with development and asset management teams to align reporting with project milestones
- Support audit processes and prepare documentation for lenders, investors, and regulators like LIHTC compliance
- Assist in financial aspects of municipal entitlements and coordinate with third-party property managers
- Improve internal financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience in real estate, specifically affordable housing development
- Strong understanding of development accounting, capitalized costs, project-based accounting, and complex capital stacks
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, Quickbooks)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines across concurrent projects
