Senior Legal Counsel

Senior Legal Counsel (SaaS/Biotech): Own end-to-end legal function across commercial contracting, corporate governance, data privacy, employment, IP, and compliance with an accent on building scalable processes and enabling global business growth. Focus on drafting complex agreements, managing risks, developing legal infrastructure, and partnering strategically with leadership and cross-functional teams.

What you will do

• Own commercial contracting including customer agreements, MSAs, DPAs, SaaS terms, partnerships, and vendor deals.
• Partner with Sales and Revenue to execute deals, negotiate, and provide business-oriented risk advice.
• Build legal operations: contract lifecycle management, tools, automation, repositories, and reporting.
• Handle corporate governance, entity management, equity processes, policies, and audit readiness.
• Co-lead data privacy (GDPR/global), IP/licensing, and risk assessment with Security and Engineering.
• Advise on employment matters and support Product/Engineering on regulatory alignment.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years legal experience (in-house tech/SaaS or private practice).
• Strong commercial contracting background in SaaS/tech/high-growth environments.
• Broad generalist experience across privacy, corporate, employment, IP, compliance.
• Startup/scale-up/international business with VC experience highly preferred.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic, hands-on builder with strong stakeholder skills.
• Autonomous, process-oriented, solutions-driven mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with global distributed teams.
• Familiarity with legal tech, CLMs, AI workflows.
• Exposure to life sciences, biotech, data platforms.
• Admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
