Engineering Manager (Engine Systems): Lead a team delivering engine system technologies aligned to multi-generation product plans and new product introductions with an accent on emissions compliance, product quality, and customer value. Location: Desford, Leicestershire, United Kingdom - requires working onsite five days a week. Domestic relocation will be considered. Visa Sponsorship is not available.
Salary: £79,400 - £98,000 depending on skills demonstrated

What you will do
- Lead development and delivery of engine system technologies in line with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
- Translate multi-generation product plans into prioritised engineering activities across short- and long-term horizons.
- Guide technical decision-making, balancing risk, performance, cost, timescales, and ROI.
- Act as technical role model, promoting high-quality engineering aligned with enterprise strategies.
- Monitor industry, regulatory, and technology developments, sharing implications with stakeholders.
- Build relationships across product groups, systems engineering, supply management, and suppliers.
- Lead, coach, and develop an engineering team to build technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, computer science, or related accredited engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience in tactical and strategic planning, turning business goals into achievable plans.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking in complex situations, weighing risks and impacts.
- Technical excellence in engine systems, assessing risks, and resolving complex issues.
- Proven managing people, leading engineering teams, coaching, and ensuring delivery.

- Understanding of product development from concept to production, focusing on quality and risk.
