What you will do

• Lead adoption of backend best practices including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of backend services while defining technical standards and architecture.
• Plan, oversee, and track backend tasks for timely high-quality delivery, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, analysts, and product managers for transparent progress.
• Build and develop backend engineering team through onboarding, mentoring, 1-on-1s, and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years Python backend development (FastAPI, Django or similar), 2+ years in lead/managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, databases, API design, performance optimization, and security.
• Experience with cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proven team management, task prioritization, planning, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Success leading projects from concept to release; basic frontend understanding for collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience in finance/trading systems or high-load/large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with hirify.global or similar products.
