Field Service Engineer

TL;DR

Field Service Engineer (Packaging Machines): Installing, commissioning, servicing, upgrading, and modifying high-tech packaging machines at customer sites worldwide with an accent on troubleshooting, production start-ups, and operator training. Focus on conducting Site Acceptance Tests, reporting technical feedback, and identifying improvements for internal development.

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands with up to 70–80% international travel (mainly weekdays).

What you will do

• Install and commission packaging machines at customer sites;
• Service, upgrade, and modify existing machines;
• Support production start-ups for new lines, products, or systems;
• Train local staff to operate equipment effectively;
• Conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SAT);
• Report visits and provide technical feedback to project teams;
• Identify technical improvements and support internal development.

Requirements

• Completed MBO level 4 technical education (mechatronics, mechanical, or electrical engineering);
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar technical role;
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 70–80% of the time (mainly weekdays);
• Fluency in English;
• Strong communication skills and customer focus;
• Solution-driven with initiative in international settings.

Nice to have

• PLC knowledge;
• Additional languages (French, German, Spanish, Polish, Italian).
