Field Service Engineer (Feed & Biofuel)

Field Service Engineer (Feed & Biofuel): Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems for customers in the Feed & Biofuel Industry with an accent on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring efficient and safe operation. Focus on performing installations, assembly, commissioning, and providing customer support mainly across northern Europe.

Location: Office-based in Geldrop, North Brabant, Netherlands. Extensive weekly travel required mainly to customers in northern Europe (other European locations possible).

What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and repairs on mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools; repair or replace defective parts like bearings, seals, gears, and belts.
• Assist in installation, assembly, alignment, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols, use PPE, follow LOTO procedures, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain records, prepare reports on equipment performance, and update maintenance databases.
• Interact with customers for technical support and training on equipment use and maintenance; identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Mechanical education or strong mechanical skills; good technical skills in electrical, process, and computers.
• Blacksmith skills; experience with machinery like gearboxes, transport systems, bearings, seals, and lubricants.
• Driver’s license; able to travel weekly with high flexibility.
• Fluent in Dutch and good English; familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in animal feed, pet food, aqua feed, or biofuel producers is a plus.
