Content Production Specialist

TL;DR

Content Production Specialist (EdTech): Converting written K-12 content into interactive online format with an accent on XML basics, in-house production tools, and rapid quality edits. Location: Raleigh-Durham, NC area office (Monday-Friday in office with option to work from home one day per week)

What you will do

• Learn basics of XML and in-house production/scripting tools
• Format curriculum content for interactive lessons
• Implement rapid edits to maintain high content quality
• Handle additional projects like PDF creation, image formatting, audio testing
• Spot and resolve project inconsistencies using attention to detail and problem-solving
• Manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment while producing high-quality work
• Create guidelines, processes, and documentation based on project requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in mathematics, English, education or related field
• Ability to quickly master new guidelines, software, and code; familiarity with HTML, CSS, and/or programming preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail; prior proofreading/editing experience preferred
• Creative eye for formatting and design
• Passion for improving education through technology

Nice to have

• Experience with graphic design
• Advanced Excel knowledge (vlookup, concatenate, left/right/mid)
• Prior coursework in computer programming
