Technical Writing Intern

TL;DR

Technical Writing Intern: Create and maintain end-user knowledgebase articles in XHTML for hirify.global’s Elite Visual Pre Plans product with an accent on adapting how-to videos into step-by-step written documentation with screenshots. Focus on organizing content for usability, collaborating with SMEs for accuracy, and using MadCap Flare for team-based management.

Location: Hybrid in Eagan, MN – ability to work in-office as required

Salary: $20.00 per hour (40-hour weeks, eligible for holiday pay and sick days)

What you will do

• Create and maintain knowledgebase articles explaining setup and use of Elite Visual Pre Plans
• Adapt video content into written documentation with screenshots and instructions
• Review and update outdated documentation
• Build tables of contents and landing pages for better discoverability
• Collaborate with SMEs to validate accuracy and functionality
• Use MadCap Flare and Central for documentation management

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s in Technical Communication, English, Communications, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related
• Demonstrated interest in technical writing or content development
• Basic HTML/XHTML and CSS knowledge or willingness to learn
• Effective written communication skills
• Portfolio or projects in technical/instructional writing
• Ability to work hybrid in-office in Eagan, MN
