What you will do

• Provide hands-on mechanical integration of electronics, enclosures, effectors, launchers, mechanisms into ground- and sea-mobile platforms
• Architect and design structures, frames, mounts, enclosures subject to environmental constraints
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and interface control documentation for system integration
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to meet military standards
• Lead integration, qualification, acceptance activities, and cross-disciplinary resolutions
• Interface with customers, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and support production sustainment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related; 11+ years in platform-level mechanical design and integration for aerospace/defense
• Proven experience integrating subsystems into vehicles or mobile platforms
• Strong proficiency with CAD tools like SolidWorks for large assemblies and top-down design
• Expertise in mechanical interfaces, tolerancing, alignment, ICDs
• Familiarity with structural analysis (hand calcs, FEA), ruggedized hardware, MIL-STD-810
• Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance
• Strong communication and leadership in multi-project environments

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience as mechanical technical authority, with mechanisms, actuation systems
• FEA/multiphysics simulation (NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, prototyping, military connectors
• Field installation and sustainment experience
