What you will do

• Architect ruggedized electronic hardware, enclosures, chassis, and thermal solutions per program standards.
• Define mechanical architectures, interfaces, and design approaches for system integration.
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and ICDs with production-ready quality.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to verify environmental compliance.
• Lead cross-disciplinary resolutions with mechanical, electrical, RF, power, and systems teams.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners; support production and sustainment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• 4+ years in mechanical design/integration of electronic hardware for aerospace/defense
• Strong proficiency with CAD tools like SolidWorks and production-ready drawings
• Experience with RF, avionics, power electronics, or embedded computing hardware
• Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, drafting standards
• Experience with prototype builds, integration, qualification testing
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. security clearance

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Advanced SolidWorks experience
• FEA/multiphysics tools (NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS)
• Military specs/standards (MIL-STD-810), aerospace connectors
