What you will do

• Own and execute thermal CFD analysis to evaluate design and performance of reactor systems.
• Develop and implement solutions for turbulent flow, heat transfer, and multi-physics interactions.
• Establish CFD simulation best practices and implement automated workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate across disciplines to support the design of reduced-order analysis methods.
• Work on high-temperature gas reactor challenges to inform cooling, shielding, and structural systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience with commercial CFD code such as STAR-CCM+ or Ansys Fluent.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software.
• Must work 100% onsite at the El Segundo headquarters.
• Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls; no visa sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with radiation heat transport modeling.
• Prior knowledge of nuclear reactor design.
