What you will do

• Assemble, configure, and integrate effector hardware, controller electronics, firmware, and software into functioning systems.
• Plan, develop, and execute integration and test procedures at component, subsystem, and system levels.
• Develop and maintain automated and manual test scripts, fixtures, and environments.
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and embedded software.
• Support field integration, on-site testing, and customer demonstrations.
• Create documentation and contribute to integration and test processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in integration and test engineering, embedded systems, or related discipline.
• Strong hands-on prototype hardware skills including wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly.
• Experience setting up embedded subsystems like GPS receivers, telemetry radios, and flight controllers.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ for test automation, calibration, and data analysis scripting.
• Familiarity with drone communication protocols (MAVLink, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C) and system architecture.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with drones, UAS, or unmanned effector systems.
• Familiarity with PX4, ArduPilot, QGroundControl, or Mission Planner.
• Experience with HIL/SIL simulations, MATLAB/Simulink, RF systems, or sensor fusion.
• Knowledge of field test operations and MIL-STD environmental/EMC testing.
• FAA Part 107 certification or equivalent UAV credentials.
