What you will do

• Lead and manage performance of a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians, organizing resources and planning future needs.
• Enforce occupational health and safety, develop strategies for healthy working relationships, and promote collaboration across groups.
• Comply with and develop quality systems, monitor production yields, and lead projects to improve them using Six Sigma.
• Ensure project deadlines are met, manage daily operations, define and track KPIs, and report to management.
• Evaluate investments for growth, prepare justifications for financing and equipment purchases, develop budgets, and control costs.

Requirements

• Master's in electrical, physical, or mechanical engineering with excellent semiconductor physics skills (Bachelor's acceptable with 5+ years additional relevant experience).
• Minimum 10 years experience in manufacture or assembly of silicon or III-V devices.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
• Basic knowledge of physics of sensors and emitters on silicon or III-V materials.
• Six Sigma green belt certification (black belt an asset); project management training and experience.
• Fluent in French (written and spoken); good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
