Production Planner Supervisor

Production Planner Supervisor (Optical Manufacturing): Supervise and coordinate production planning for optical components and systems with an accent on scheduling, material requirements planning, and capacity optimization. Location: Boulder, CO, US (Onsite). This position requires compliance with ITAR regulations. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise production planning team for optical manufacturing operations including lenses, mirrors, coatings, and assemblies
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on orders, forecasts, and capacity
• Coordinate MRP for material availability and monitor progress to address delays or disruptions
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet optical specifications
• Optimize workflow, capacity, and throughput in high-precision processes
• Analyze KPIs and implement improvements; communicate status to stakeholders
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent)
• 3–5 years in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
• 1–2 years direct supervisory or team leadership experience
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP a plus)
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar
