Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI): Define and execute the strategic roadmap to embed AI into core product experience with an accent on differentiation, customer value, and responsible scalable adoption. Focus on architecting AI solutions, leading high-priority initiatives from concept to production, and establishing governance for trustworthy AI capabilities.

Location: Remote (USA), not eligible to work remotely from Hawaii. US-based team members outside Pacific time zone expected to work at least six hours between 8 am and 5 pm PT each workday.

Salary: $244,000 - $330,000 USD

What you will do

• Define and execute AI product strategy, partnering with Product and Design to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
• Lead delivery of AI initiatives from concept to production, architecting scalable solutions with third-party models and infrastructure.
• Establish principles, guardrails, governance, and operating models for safe AI adoption across teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, Legal, Compliance, and Data on execution and risk management.
• Champion AI for engineering productivity like assisted coding and test generation, measuring impact.
• Build reusable AI capabilities, patterns, and tooling for teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering and technology leadership, delivering complex high-impact systems.
• Proven track record bringing AI-enabled or data-driven capabilities to production at scale.
• Strong understanding of modern applied AI and integration into real-world systems for business value.
• Experience with build vs. buy decisions, third-party platforms, governance, security for emerging tech.
• Cross-functional leadership to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on technical depth with execution bias and pragmatic problem-solving.
