TL;DR

Senior Staff Hardware Engineer (SoC/ASIC): Development of evaluation boards and customer reference boards for advanced SoC/ASIC platforms with an accent on board-level architecture, high-speed signal design, and system bring-up. Focus on SI/PI simulations, optimizing high-speed interfaces like DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, and delivering robust reference platforms.

Location: Taipei (onsite, full-time). Position may require eligibility for U.S. export-controlled technology access.

What you will do

  • Lead design and development of SoC/ASIC evaluation boards, including schematic capture, PCB layout review, and component selection.
  • Perform board bring-up, signal integrity validation, and system-level debugging.
  • Collaborate with SoC/ASIC design, firmware, and validation teams to support reference designs.
  • Conduct SI/PI simulations and optimize high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet).
  • Generate technical documentation like schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and design guides.
  • Interface with vendors and manufacturing for prototype builds and production support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10–15 years experience in hardware development for SoC/ASIC-based systems.
  • Strong knowledge of DDR4/DDR5, PCIe Gen4/5/6, SerDes, and high-speed layout practices.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, VNA).
  • Experience with SI/PI tools (Sigrity, HyperLynx, ADS) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environment.
