Head of Engineering (FinTech): Lead the engineering organization for hirify.global’s end-to-end financial infrastructure including payments orchestration, wallets, ledger, treasury, billing, reconciliation, and compliance with an accent on scalable modular architecture and real-time event-driven systems. Focus on delivering IPO-grade controls, AI-powered reconciliation, anomaly detection, transaction monitoring, and operational excellence while ensuring regulatory compliance and financial data integrity.

What you will do

• Define and execute technical strategy for financial infrastructure, building scalable architecture for payments, ledger, treasury, and compliance.
• Partner with Product, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance to deliver business outcomes and embed product thinking in engineering.
• Design high-scale systems for transaction volumes, ensuring idempotency, consistency, fault tolerance, and multi-currency handling.
• Drive IPO-grade execution across controls, compliance (KYC/AML), and accounting with fast close cycles and automation.
• Integrate AI across engineering (code generation, reviews) and financial systems (reconciliation, monitoring, data integrity).
• Build and scale high-performing teams, establish processes, monitoring, and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Head of Engineering / Director / Senior EM in fintech or financial systems (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Wise)
• Deep expertise in payments infrastructure, ledger/accounting, high-scale distributed systems, regulated environments (KYC/AML, compliance).
• Strong backend skills (Node.js/TypeScript preferred), distributed systems, event-driven architectures, data consistency.
• Understanding of payments/PSP, double-entry accounting, reconciliation, FX/multi-currency, treasury.
• Experience scaling systems for billions in transaction volume with high concurrency and audit trails.
• Leadership managing multiple teams in high-growth environments, strong communication and prioritization.

• IPO readiness experience (SOX, audit, close processes).
• Wallet systems, payment orchestration, treasury platforms, automated reconciliation.
• NetSuite/ERP integrations, event-driven accounting, MCP/real-time posting.
