Senior Cloud Architect (ML/AI)

TL;DR

Senior Cloud Architect (ML/AI): Lead the design and implementation of production-grade ML and Generative AI solutions on AWS with an accent on secure, reliable, cost-efficient, and observable architectures. Focus on acting as hands-on expert for customers, translating complex business problems into cloud solutions, and evolving reusable AI/ML patterns that influence product roadmap.

Location: Remote in the US, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Israel. Also open to contractors in Eastern Europe or Portugal. Must be based remotely in one of these locations.

What you will do

• Lead discovery, architecture, and implementation for advanced ML and Generative AI workloads on AWS, including data, training, inference, and integration.
• Own technical success of engagements, define outcomes, make tradeoffs visible, ensure production-ready designs.
• Provide guidance on GenAI architectures like Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Q, and integrate with customer systems.
• Recommend and implement AI/ML capabilities in hirify.global Cloud Intelligence, measure business and technical impact.
• Maintain delivery excellence, capture repeatable AI/ML patterns, reference architectures, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and partners to align AI/ML work with priorities.

Requirements

• 4+ years architecting, deploying, managing cloud-based AI/ML solutions, including production workloads.
• Proven track record with large distributed systems on AWS.
• Advanced proficiency with AWS AI/ML services: Bedrock, SageMaker (JumpStart), prompt engineering, model evaluation.
• In-depth knowledge of SageMaker components, TensorFlow, PyTorch, distributed training, data engineering (S3, Glue, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD for AI/ML, monitoring (CloudWatch), governance, security, compliance.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud AI tools; excellent communication, ownership in remote-first global environment. Work effectively in remote-first, global environment.

Nice to have

• BA/BS in CS/Math or equivalent; data/AI certifications (AWS/GCP, Stanford, etc.).
• Experience with RLHF, advanced fine-tuning, Hugging Face.
• Prior role as ML Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Architect in consulting/SaaS.
• JIRA experience, Agile practices.
