TL;DR
VP, Finance (Medtech): Lead financial planning, reporting, and strategy across the organization with an accent on corporate financial modeling, FP&A, accounting controls, and strategic analyses. Focus on building finance infrastructure, managing team, preparing for audits, and influencing board/investor decisions in a high-growth startup.
Location: Hybrid role based in New York City; all work must be conducted from an approved location within the U.S. No international remote work.
Salary: $260,000 - $290,000 USD

What you will do
- Own corporate forecast, budget model, P&L, revenue drivers, and cash flow; lead monthly reviews with variance analysis.
- Build dashboards for KPIs; track business metrics like NRPA, NEVR, margins, CAC efficiency.
- Oversee accounting workflows, transition to accrual, improve close process, establish controls for audit readiness.
- Partner on strategic analyses, investment decisions, scenario planning; support board/investor reporting and presentations.
- Build bottoms-up budgets with functional leaders; deliver Budget vs. Actual reporting.
- Hire, manage, and develop a small finance team.
Requirements
- 10+ years in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or private equity; 2-3 years in senior finance leadership with people management.
- Proven track record owning full corporate financial model end-to-end.
- Experience preparing/presenting to boards, investors, executives.
- Solid accounting fundamentals; managed external accountants/auditors.
- Deep analytical/modeling skills with attention to detail; strong communication to synthesize data into narratives.
- Self-starter thriving in high-growth, resource-constrained environment.
