TL;DR

Controller (Global Finance): Oversee global financial operations across 5 studios and regions with an accent on financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. Focus on driving automation and efficiency, managing multi-currency consolidations, complex transactions, and audits in a multi-entity entertainment environment.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California - must work onsite in San Francisco office and occasionally from home

Salary: $202,400-$247,200 per year

What you will do

• Oversee quarterly and ad hoc financial reporting and submissions to Disney, ensuring GAAP and corporate compliance.
• Lead the Global Accounting Team, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and management of international teams.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency across financial functions.
• Manage accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, tax compliance, and revenue recognition globally.
• Plan and lead internal/external audits, establish internal controls, and handle technical accounting issues.
• Analyze financial results with FP&A, oversee consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and employee benefits.
• Partner with Production Accounting for project cost reporting and prepare data for tax incentives.

Requirements

• 5+ years as Controller with managerial experience for multi-currency global company
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or related; CPA required, Big 4 US GAAP audit strongly preferred
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud Financials
• Deep knowledge of international accounting, multi-entity consolidations, and complex transactions
• Ability to manage multiple projects, international teams, and stakeholders across finance, IT, production, and Disney
• Strong documentation, communication, and change management skills
