Controller (Finance/Manufacturing): Own the full accounting cycle including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and close processes across US and Mexico entities with an accent on scalable systems, internal controls, and AI-driven workflows. Focus on designing manufacturing cost accounting, leading financial systems implementations, and ensuring multinational compliance and audit readiness.

Location: Hybrid at San Francisco headquarters (based in San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate; in-office four days per week).

Salary: $190,000 - $220,000 a year

What you will do

• Own full accounting cycle, month-end/year-end close for US and Mexico entities.
• Design scalable processes, internal controls, and financial systems for growing manufacturing operations.
• Manage and develop a team of six accountants across US and Mexico.
• Champion AI tools adoption, automation, and workflows in accounting.
• Partner on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing reporting.
• Lead ERP implementations, audits, tax compliance, and board/investor reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years accounting experience, 3+ years in controller/senior leadership.
• Background in manufacturing/contract manufacturing (COGS, inventory, operations finance).
• Experience building/improving accounting systems and processes in startups/high-growth.
• Active AI tools user; manage multinational teams, US/Mexico compliance.
• CPA required; Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; strong US GAAP.
• Based in San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• NetSuite/ERP in manufacturing.
• Audit preparation or investor due diligence.
• Big 4/regional public accounting background.
