Environmental Field Technician II

TL;DR

Environmental Field Technician II (Hazardous Waste): Acts as Waste Technician for hazardous waste packing, transportation, and disposal with an accent on RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations compliance. Focus on performing site inspections, waste sampling, running analytical equipment, preparing shipments, and coordinating profiles with TSDF.

Location: Based out of Webster, TX, US (335 Tristar Dr, Webster, 77598, TX). Travel required 60-75% of the time, including out-of-town and overnight via airplane or driving.

What you will do

• Work safely, adhering to all customer site rules, company policies, and regulations.
• Prepare and verify shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading and hazardous manifests.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, waste sampling, and submit profiles to TSDF.
• Operate analytical equipment, perform hands-on physical analysis, sample preparation, and develop test methods.
• Coordinate waste pickups, shipments, and profiles with transporters, TSDF, sales, and customers.
• Maintain waste storage areas, track profiles, and resolve issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; general college science background in Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Services, or Environmental Science preferred.
• 1-3 years of related Operations experience.
• Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations; ability to classify waste and handle hazardous materials.
• Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills; customer service abilities.
• Function-specific and customer-site training as applicable.
• Willingness to obtain certifications like CDL, CHMM, RCRA/DOT.
