Semiconductor Equipment Technician

TL;DR

Semiconductor Equipment Technician: Support preventive maintenance, performance verification, repair, and uptime of critical test-floor equipment including Keysight testers, TEL probers, and TW03APVX probe-card repair tool with an accent on schedule adherence and first-response diagnosis. Focus on in-house triage, reducing vendor reliance, and maintaining manufacturing quality under high-volume production.

Location: Austin (Ed Bluestein, Manufacturing). Must be physically capable of standing for up to 12 hours and lifting 50 pounds.

What you will do

• Perform quarterly PMs on TW03APVX probe-card repair tool and monthly/semi-annual/annual PMs and PVs on Keysight testers and TEL probers.
• Maintain PM records, ensure schedule adherence, and coordinate with vendors for support.
• Provide first-response diagnosis and repair, escalate when needed, and perform in-house triage to reduce vendor visits.
• Support probe card repair and Class Probe Dispositioning of production material.
• Utilize data analysis to track metrics, solve operational issues, and meet department goals.

Requirements

• Experience with 4071A/4072B/4082F testers and/or TEL P8/P8XL/Precio Octo probers strongly preferred.
• AS/BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, or 6+ years of semiconductor test equipment troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Excel, ASP, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of SPC and FDC for improvements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, multitask, and thrive in a multi-cultural environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SharePoint, HTML, and SQL.
• Ability to train, mentor, and lead technicians.
