Payroll Specialist

What you will do

• Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for 1,000+ multi-state employees, ensuring accuracy in wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Review and audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Support quarterly and year-end payroll activities including W-2s and tax filings.
• Handle wage garnishments and remittances.
• Provide timely employee support via Payroll or JIRA tickets within 24 hours.
• Partner with ADP Tax Team for new local tax setups and assist with audits including Workers Comp and 401k.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify)
• Experience processing multi-state payroll for large employee base.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and compliance.
• Proficiency with payroll systems like ADP.
• Ability to audit reports, handle discrepancies, and support tax filings.
• Skills in managing garnishments, employee support, and audits.
