Location: Hybrid work environment, with expectation for local hirify.globalns (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin and Sydney) to be in office minimum twice per week

Salary: €86,100 - €129,100 EUR

What you will do

• Lead payroll operations across EMEA and APAC, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely delivery.
• Oversee payroll calendars, approvals, reconciliations, variance reviews, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
• Partner with vendors like CloudPay and Remote on compliance and country-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Benefits, Legal, and People teams on reporting and employee lifecycle changes.
• Drive process improvements, controls, documentation, standardization, and audit readiness.
• Support payroll transformations including vendor transitions and system implementations.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Payroll team for scalable global processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country payroll across EMEA and/or APAC
• 2+ years of people leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of payroll operations, reconciliations, controls, compliance, and audit documentation.
• Experience with payroll delivery models: outsourced vendors, EOR, in-house, contractors.
• Familiarity with payroll/HRIS platforms like CloudPay, Remote, Workday.
• Fluency in English
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, project management, and problem-solving skills.
