Salary: $157,000 - $224,400 USD

What you will do

• Establish community partnerships in Midwest to build positive brand image and engagement.
• Support regional growth through governmental relations, permitting, and sustainable services.
• Educate sales teams on sustainability to exceed customer expectations.
• Spearhead environmental performance indicators, corrective actions, and team accountability.
• Liaise with corporate environmental team to standardize policies and procedures.
• Lead and develop Midwest environmental team, building talent pipeline.
• Present to executives, customers, and regulators to advance sustainability agenda.
• Proactively resolve environmental issues at sites using lean practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in scientific (biology, chemistry, environmental science) or engineering (environmental, chemical, mechanical) discipline; Masters preferred
• 10+ years progressively responsible experience in environmental compliance, permitting, stack tests, sustainability, climate change
• Must be located in Chicago area or willing to relocate
• Ability to travel ~35%
• Experience interacting with regulators, legislators, and community organizations

Nice to have

• Experience with Title V air permits and solid waste facility permits
• Corporate strategy development and P&L management
• Knowledge of RCRA, Clean Air Act, and waste-to-energy regulations
• Lean/Continuous Improvement experience
