What you will do

• Build detailed 3D MEP models in OpenBuildings Designer for station boxes, tunnels, and transportation systems.
• Translate 2D engineering drawings into coordinated 3D models and collaborate with designers.
• Coordinate across MEP, structural, and civil disciplines to deliver federated, clash-free models.
• Manage ProjectWise workflows, submissions, transmittals, and client standards.
• Set up seed files, workspaces, and model environments; produce drawings and sheets from models.
• Perform QA/QC, clash detection, and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans and standards like ISO 19650.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with 3D MEP models in Bentley OpenBuildings Designer on infrastructure projects.
• Solid MicroStation background including model setup, seed files, coordinates, and standards.
• ProjectWise experience with structured workflows and client data standards.
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings and create coordinated, buildable 3D models.
• Multi-discipline model delivery using Bentley tools like iTwin, Navigator, iModels for federation and clash detection.
• Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, BEPs) and incorporating survey data, point clouds, utilities.
• Experience working with engineers, teams, and clients on design challenges.

Nice to have

• Cross-platform experience translating Bentley models to Autodesk (Revit, Navisworks) via IFC.
• Point cloud processing and scan-to-BIM workflows.
• Digital twin, AIM/PIM, or connected data environments.
• 4D planning tools like Synchro.
• Metadata, automation, scripting (Python, Bentley SDK).
• Engineering degree in rail, transit, or infrastructure.
