IT Auditor

TL;DR

IT Auditor: Conducting internal IT audits and reviews, providing risk education and project risk assessment on behalf of the corporation to mitigate risk and assess control environments. Focus on communicating risks and recommendations to leadership, facilitating project risk assessments, and improving audit methodologies.

Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid schedule; 1 day per week onsite)

What you will do

• Conduct internal audits and reviews to identify risks, document controls, and assess control environments.
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to operating, IT, and executive management, including updates to the Audit Committee.
• Assist in developing the annual audit plan and facilitate project risk assessments and action planning workshops.
• Develop and report against work plans, prepare audit workpapers, and advocate for improvements to methodologies.
• Educate employees and management on IT controls and participate in infrastructure projects.
• Train and educate audit IT staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field
• Six years related experience, including three years of IT auditing or related (e.g., information security)
• Strong understanding of project management and information technology
• Professional Audit Certifications: CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CGEIT, HITRUST or equivalent
