TL;DR

Senior Tax Manager (Global Tax): Manage the company's global tax function and oversee compliance filings, tax provisions, transfer pricing, and international reporting with an accent on sales tax, audits, and advisory to business units. Focus on monitoring tax legislations, collaborating with Legal/M&A/FP&A teams, and optimizing external advisor relationships for operational impact.

Hybrid: 3 days a week in office (Montreal, Canada)

What you will do

  • Lead the global tax team and manage all tax processes including compliance, provisions, transfer pricing, and international reporting.
  • Oversee sales tax filings, reconciliations, payments, and tax audits with authorities.
  • Provide tax advisory to business units, Legal, M&A, and FP&A for transactions, integrations, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Monitor tax legislations and utilize external advisors effectively.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years progressive tax experience, ideally public accounting and corporate tax
  • CPA designation
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and US taxation; experience with international tax, transfer pricing, government grants
  • Strong people management, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, discretion with sensitive documents
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Nice to have

  • Public company experience with IFRS/SOX
  • In-depth tax education or Masters in Taxation
  • Familiarity with European/APAC taxes, Pillar 2
  • French proficiency
  • Experience with NetSuite, TaxPrep, Salesforce, Avalara
