Senior Electrical Test Engineer

What you will do

• Develop and own comprehensive test plans, translating requirements into verification matrices and executable procedures across board, subsystem, and system levels.
• Design, build, and deploy automated test equipment for PCBAs, harnesses, power systems, and assemblies using Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
• Execute functional, environmental, regression, reliability, and stress testing; drive root cause analysis for failures.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, systems, and manufacturing teams on design reviews, testability, and production transitions.
• Establish best practices for test documentation, data capture, reporting, and continuous improvement in lab infrastructure.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related (Master’s preferred) with 7+ years in electrical test engineering or hardware validation.
• Strong understanding of engineering design lifecycle, formal verification, and hands-on ATE/fixture development.
• Proficiency with lab instrumentation, measurement techniques, test automation software (Python, LabVIEW, C/C++), and troubleshooting analog/digital/power/mixed-signal systems.
• Experience in cross-functional hardware development environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, defense, maritime, or ruggedized platforms.
• Familiarity with high-voltage power, battery integration, EMI/EMC testing, and manufacturing DFM/DFT.
• Knowledge of requirements management and configuration control tools.
