TL;DR

Associate, Special Projects: Support execution of high-priority fundraising initiatives and bespoke projects with an accent on opportunity scoping, research, donor engagement, systems building, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on synthesizing insights, tracking opportunities, maintaining trackers, and ensuring thoughtful donor experiences in a mission-driven environment.

Location: Fully remote but must overlap with an East Africa timezone by at least 3 hours. Travel ~1–2 times per year to countries of operation. Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas in the U.S. or U.K.

United States: Base Salary $74,900 + 10% bonus (~$82,390 total at target) + $21,393 annual benefits stipend. United Kingdom: Base Salary £47,800 + 10% bonus (~£52,580 total at target) + £2,760 annual benefits stipend. Benchmark provided for other countries based on location.

What you will do

• Support execution of high-priority fundraising initiatives, developing concept notes, pitch decks, and engagement plans in partnership with senior leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs from programs, product, research, finance, and other teams.
• Conduct research on potential funders, partners, and opportunities, synthesizing insights and flagging leads.
• Build and maintain systems, trackers, Salesforce records, and documentation to enable efficient team operations.
• Support donor engagement logistics, preparation, events, meetings, and field visits.
• Institutionalize learnings from engagements to improve future fundraising efforts.

Requirements
